Kawasaki has launched the 2021 Ninja ZX-10R with a price tag of Rs. 14,99,000/- (ex-showroom), in India.
Developed to ensure another Superbike World championship (WorldSBK) title win for the manufacturer, the supersport motorcycle features numerous upgrades, chiefly in aerodynamics, over its pre-facelift self.
Having decided to improve the bike’s downforce, the Japanese manufacturer has integrated winglets into the structure of cowling. This, the firm claims, has provided the vehicle with 17 percent more downforce.
Kawasaki has also given the superbike a smaller ram-air intake, a windscreen that is a bit taller along with revised side panels and updated handlebar and foot peg positions.
Even the rear seat was taken into account and revised to create a low-pressure area behind the rider, which in turn reduces drag during frequent manoeuvring.
Sporting the river mark emblem, the superbike is built around an aluminium twin-spar frame to which an aluminium swingarm is mounted and is available in 2 colours called Lime Green and Flat Ebony Type 2.
The 2021 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R price gets buyers all-LED lighting, Showa BFF (Balance Free Front Fork), Showa BFRC lite (Balance Free Rear Cushion) rear monoshock, Brembo M50 monobloc callipers that clamp onto large discs, Öhlins Electronic Steering Damper and a quickshifter.
A 998cc, liquid-cooled, in-line 4 motor powers the 2021 Ninja ZX-10R. It makes a maximum of 203 PS at 13,200 RPM (with ram air, power rises to 213 PS) and a peak torque figure of 114.9 Nm at 11,400 RPM.
It features electronic throttle valves, a new air-cooled oil cooler, a close-ratio 6-speed gearbox and an updated exhaust system.
Weighing in at 207 kg (wet), the 2021 Ninja ZX-10R also comes with a TFT display, smartphone connectivity, electronic cruise control, 3 power modes (full/middle/low), riding modes (Sport/Road/Rain/Rider (Manual)), ABS, traction control with 5 modes, launch control, cornering management function and engine brake control.
