The 2011 Bentley Continental GT has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 1.9 crore (ex-showroom, Delhi). The 4-seater Coupe is built on the earlier GT platform but now features a more powerful W12 engine which produces 567bhp of power and 71.3kgm of torque. Mated to a new 6-speed quickshift transmission (which reduces gearshift times by 50%), the new Continental GT will reach 100kmph in just 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 320kmph. This Bentley can run on bioethenol, petrol or a mix of both. The new ESC (electronic stability program) works in sync with the all wheel drive system to ensure very good road holding. Like most Bentleys, the entire interior of the Continental GT is hand crafted.
“We understand the growing needs of the market and hence we bring the new Bentley Continental GT to India,” Bentley Regional Director, India Chris Buxton said.
