Mahindra has been continuously testing the XUV500 in India and a development mule of the upcoming SUV has been caught on camera once again.
Spotted by MotorBeamer Ishveer Singh near Panipat, the model sports some sleek headlights that are different to the ones seen earlier. Mahindra might have restyled the lights or might be testing 2 different designs.
However, the J-style DRLs cannot be seen, for the whole car is covered well. But, the design of the grille and the air dam are the same.
Sporting flush-fitting door handles, the development mule of the 2021 Mahindra XUV500 rides on 10-spoke alloy wheels and looks to be rather loaded up, for there is little clearance between the rear tyres and the wheel arches.
The haunch under the rear quarter glass integrates with the new tail lamps that are visible through the camouflage. The Skoda-esque profile of the car’s rear makes it look wider than it is. In addition, there is a rear windscreen wiper and a rear spoiler, as well as roof rails.
Inside, the 2021 Mahindra XUV500 has a multifunction steering wheel. Although the top part of the dash is covered, air-con vents and control knobs sporting chrome garnish and the gear selector can be seen.
Moreover, the seats in the SUV come with beige upholstery, while there is a front centre armrest as well.
Set to be launched soon, the vehicle will compete against the Tata Safari, MG Hector Plus, among others.
