2022 Range Rover Evoque LWB Spied On Test Abroad
Second row passengers would welcome the additional space offered by the LWB model, while a third row of seats might be added too.
The 2022 Range Rover Evoque long wheel base (LWB) model has been spied undergoing winter testing in Northern Europe.
Although the model is completely camouflaged, it is clear as day that the car is the stylish Evoque, for the front fascia of the mule gives away as much, due to it sporting the same headlights, and bumper.
Even the radiator grille has the same hexagonal design and the air dam is the same. However, look along the sides and the difference is apparent.
The rear doors are longer than the ones on the standard Evoque and designers have retained the same upward sweeping beltline and sloping roof.
No changes seem to have been done either to the rear quarter glass or to the tail section of the 2022 Ranger Rover Evoque LWB spied on test.
Despite Range Rover being tight-lipped about how much longer the LWB Evoque will be than the regular version, it would be fair to assume that second row passengers would be more comfortable in the longer variant.
While legroom will be increased by a considerable margin, the sloping roofline does mean headroom would not be as abundant. Well, that is a price owners have (and would be willing) to pay to have a stylish luxury SUV.
What will be interesting to see is if the automaker plans to add another row of seats. Given that Ranger Rover has gone on to create a LWB version, it would seem likely that extra seats would be provided.
Powering the car would be the same set of 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox. Of course, it will come with 4-wheel-drive and will be kitted out with latest features.
Expected to be revealed later this year, if the Evoque LWB does come to India, we suspect it would replace the standard model, and yes, it will cost more than the regular variant which is priced from Rs. 59.04 lakhs (ex-showroom).
