Earth Energy Electric 2-Wheeler Range Launched, Priced From Rs. 92,000/-

Earth Energy EV has launched the Glyde+ electric scooter at a price tag of Rs. 92,000/- (ex-showroom), along with 2 other electric motorcycles in India.

The other models, namely the Evolve Z and Evolve R are priced at Rs. 1.30 lakhs and Rs. 1.42 lakhs (both prices ex-showroom), respectively.

According to the firm, the entire range has a 96 percent localisation level and have fast charging capability, adaptive range prediction, auto headlight, LCD display, battery State Of Charge (SOC) and TBT (turnabout time) navigation, among other features.

The electric 2-wheelers come with an in-built app with navigation status, call/message alert, trip history, and more features like vehicle diagnostics and the ability to book maintenance services.

Also, the app allows third party usage model for food delivery personnel and Earth Energy claims the entire order mapping can be done on the 2-wheeler’s display screen.

Powered by a 2.4 kW (3.22 HP) electric motor that puts out 26 Nm of torque, the Earth Energy Glyde+ price will get customers a scooter that has a top speed of 60 km/hr and a range of 100 km due to its 52 Ah Lithium-ion battery that can be charged up to 80 percent from dead in 40 minutes.

The Evolve Z electric motorcycle has a 96 Ah Lithium-ion battery, a 5.3 kW (7.1 HP) motor putting out 56 Nm of twisting force, 100 km range, 95 km/hr top speed, and the same 40-minute fast charge time (0-80 percent).

On the other hand, the Evolve R, Earth Energy’s flagship motorcycle, that has been designed with inspiration from arrowheads, comes with a 115 Ah battery and a 12.5 kW (16.8 HP) motor putting out 54 Nm.

It too has a fast charging time of 40 minutes (0-80 percent) and range of 100 km (claimed), but can hit a top speed of 110 km/hr. The normal charging time for all the vehicles is 2.5 hours and they can be had in Jet Black, Marshal grey and White shades.

Customers can purchase the products online and from select dealers and distributors. Currently, Earth Energy, which was founded in 2017, has a 7000 sq ft R&D centre in Vasai, Mumbai, and produces the battery packs in-house. It focuses on developing electric commercial vehicles and autonomous drivetrains too.
