An image of the production-spec 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa has been leaked online, only a few days before the superbike is set to be officially premiered on 5th February.
Design-wise, the motorcycle, as expected, is more of an evolution of the second-generation ‘Busa’. While the overall silhouette remains the same, the bodywork has been given a thorough overhaul.
There is a revised headlight unit that sits flush with the fairing that is more streamlined, while the vents are positioned differently now.
The fuel tank seems to have taken a new shape, so has the seat, pillion seat cowl and rear body panels. Also new are the exhaust canisters, which are as huge as they come, and the alloy wheels.
Having looked at the image, one cannot help but think Suzuki has taken the bike to the wind tunnel once again and reworked every aspect of the it in the interest of achieving more top speed.
The 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa leaked image shows that the bike has different graphics now and this particular model has been painted in Blue with gold contrasts and a S-shaped silver arc can be seen at the edge of the main vents of the fairing.
It is tastefully done and not over the top, which is quite contrary to what the bike can achieve with its (expected) high power and torque figures.
Suzuki has already released a short teaser video of the 2021 Hayabusa in which the bike could be seen crossing 290 km/hr at a high-speed banked circuit.
For the third-generation Hayabusa, Suzuki will step up its game by offering a larger engine (likely displacing 1.4 litres) with the power figure crossing the 200 BHP mark.
Although the bike is expected to be based on the revised version of the previous generation model’s chassis, it will get a refreshed instrument cluster, latest electronic driver aids, top componentry and trick suspension hardware.
