Volvo has launched the 2021 S60 with an introductory asking price of Rs. 45.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) in India, today and bookings can only be made on the firm’s Indian website.
Deliveries of cars booked during January and February will commence from mid-March, while the company is also offering early buyers complimentary membership to its Tre Kronor Experience programme.
Built on Volvo Cars’ Scalable Product Architecture (SPA), the 2021 Volvo S60 will only be sold in T4 Inscription trim in India.
As befits a luxury sedan, it comes with LED headlights with active bending tech, 18-inch alloy wheels and 5 colour options such as Crystal White Pearl, Denim Blue, Fusion Red, Maple Brown and Onyx Black.
A total of 3 different interior upholstery choices are on offer while the 9-inch Sensus touchscreen takes centre stage in the cabin. It is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, while it also has navigation, entertainment apps and connected services.
Also, the 2021 Volvo S60 price gets owners features like a Harman Kardon sound system (600 Watts, 14 speakers), panoramic sunroof, rear park assist camera, 4-zone climate system with CleanZone tech and wireless charging.
Under the bonnet, one would find a 1969cc petrol motor putting out 190 HP and 300 Nm, while it is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission.
In all, 3 drive modes – Eco, Comfort and Dynamic – will be on offer on the luxury sedan that comes with a whole host of safety features to keep its occupants and pedestrians safe.
For example, there is City Safety with Steering Support, Adaptive Cruise Control, Pilot Assist, Oncoming Mitigation by Braking, Lane Keeping Aid, Driver Alert Control, Speed Alert, Brakes with Hill Start Assist, and more, as standard.
