2021 Tata Safari stepped roof gets a brushed metal finish which extends into the roof rails. While the Gravitas concept showcased at the Auto Expo had the same panel, this one stands out with a contrasty finish.
Pre-bookings for the new generation Safari will commence later this month. The carmaker is teasing the production version aggressively ahead of its launch.
The SUV will get three-row theatre-like seating inspired by the Land Rover Discovery. Hence the 2021 Tata Safari gets a stepped roof design to add some headroom for the third-row passengers.
The carmaker recently teased the new grille for the production vehicle. It comes with Bi Arrow design elements and is finished in chrome.
It seems like Tata Motors is adding a lot of shiny bits to the Safari to differentiate it with the Harrier as a more premium and luxurious product.
Just like such changes in the production version from the Gravitas concept, we can also expect some new colour themes for the interior and new materials on the dashboard.
Engine is expected to be the same 2.0-litre diesel with 170 PS and 350 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed manual and auto transmission options.
The wheelbase of the Safari remains the same as the Harrier but the length has grown by 70 mm.
