MINI Paddy Hopkirk Edition Price Is Rs. 41.70 Lakhs

MINI India has launched the Paddy Hopkirk Edition with an asking price of Rs. 41.70 lakhs (ex-showroom).

The car is limited to only 15 units, but holds more value not because of it being a limited edition model, but because it is a tribute to rally legend Patrick “Paddy” Hopkirk.

Back in 1964, the classic MINI Cooper S took the first of its 3 victories at the Monte Carlo Rally and at the wheel of the winning car (numbered 37) that year was Paddy himself.

It has been a few decades since the feat was achieved, nonetheless, MINI has come up with the modern interpretation of the very car Paddy drove back in the day.

Featuring a Chili Red exterior colour with Aspen White Roof, the car has No. 37 stickers and badging, as well as Paddy Hopkirk’s signature, along with Piano Black exterior elements.

Riding on 16-inch alloy wheels, the MINI Paddy Hopkirk Edition price also includes illuminated door sills, panorama glass roof, rear-view camera, LED interior and ambient lighting, sport leather steering wheel, comfort access system, auto start/stop function, brake energy recuperation and puddle lamps too.

Based on the MINI Cooper S, the Paddy Hopkirk edition has a 2-litre 4-cylinder TwinPower Turbo petrol motor making 192 HP and 280 Nm which is mated to a 7-speed Steptronic sport transmission.

With the said output, the car can sprint from 0-100 km/hr in 6.7 seconds and hit a top speed of 235 km/hr. It also has different driving modes – MID, Sport and Green (the last mode could have been skipped in what is a tribute to a racing legend).
