2021 Jeep Compass Facelift Reveal Takes Place, Bookings Open

The reveal of the Indian-spec 2021 Jeep Compass facelift has taken place and bookings for the car have officially commenced.

Jeep has redesigned the front fascia of its popular SUV by giving it a set of new LED headlights with DRLs, revised 7-slat grille, a new front bumper and has also repositioned the fog lamps.

However, the changes made to the SUVs insides are more prominent as the whole dashboard is new, featuring horizontal layers and neatly integrated metallic accent that runs across its width.

There is a new 10.1-inch touchscreen for the UConnect 5 infotainment system, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, new steering wheel and the switchgear have been tweaked as well and Jeep says there are more cubby spaces in the car now.

Being a premium SUV, the 2021 Compass also comes with plentiful features. The 8-way power adjustable (with memory function) ventilated front seats, a large sunroof, powered liftgate, are among several others offered with the car.

Moreover, there are over 50 safety features such as 6 airbags, ESC, Electronic Roll Mitigation, Panic Brake Assist and Hill Descent Control, to name a few.

Powertrain options of the car will remain the same as before, meaning the 1.4-litre turbo petrol and 2.0-litre turbo diesel engines and 3 gearboxes will stay and 4-wheel-drive will be offered as well.

During the 2021 Jeep Compass reveal, the carmaker announced that India will be the manufacturing hub for right-hand drive export markets, with cars being exported to Australia, Japan, and other countries. Over 20,000 units of the SUV have been shipped from India since 2017.

With the car’s premiere done with, Jeep will launch the vehicle by the last week of this month and will reveal its updated asking price as well.
