A development mule of the all-new 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 has been spied ahead of its launch slated to take place next year.
The design of the motorcycle is more evolutionary, with slight tweaks here and there (something Porsche 911 fans know about and like). The circular headlamps, chrome mirrors and exhaust, mudguards, all look very similar, but the indicators are new.
Similarly, the seats and the tail lamp are revised too. Royal Enfield has cheekily stuck the current Classic 350’s stickers on the bike so as to keep attention away and mislead passersby.
Riding on wire-spoked wheels, the 2021 Royal Enfield Classic 350 spied mule’s styling will appease the brand’s fans, for it does not shy away from the current design.
Expect features like LED DRL, semi-digital instrument console and Bluetooth connectivity to be offered on the production model. Of course, new paint options will be on offer as well.
Built on the new modular J platform, the new Classic 350 could be lighter and will be powered by the same engine that does duty on the Meteor 350. The 349cc motor makes a maximum of 20.2 BHP and 27 Nm peak torque and will be mated to a 5-speed transmission.
Expect the suspension to be tuned to offer a cushioning ride, further aided by the seats, while the brakes might not be top-of-the-line units, they will do their job well, plus, there will be ABS too.
Expect the bike to get launched early next year and cost from Rs. 1.65 lakhs (ex-showroom) as it will sit below the Meteor 350 in the brand’s lineup.
