Honda – The Japanese carmaker has recalled 1.79 million vehicles worldwide for safety issues. These include 1.4 million vehicles in the United States. Around 2,68,000 units of CR-V produced in 2002-2006 have been recalled to replace power window master switches as 16 fire related reports have been issued because of this. Some Accord models have also been recalled to fix Body Control Module software as it could disrupt communication.

Hero – The Indian two-wheeler maker will increase the pricing of its entire product range by up to Rs. 1500/- from January. The steady rise in commodity costs is the claimed reason behind this move. The price hike will vary across the range depending on each model.

BMW – The German luxury carmaker is expanding their presence rapidly across the country. BMW has come up with a new showroom in Chennai – Kun Exclusive. It is based on the BMW Facility NEXT framework. According to BMW, the new showroom uses modern architecture, appealing design and engaging new-age technologies. It is spread across 6500 sq. ft. and comprises of six car vehicle display area, BMW Lifestyle and Accessories section.

Rapido – The bike taxi platform Rapido is increasing their presence in India. They have recently announced their expansion of auto service across seven states and 11 new cities. Rapido is currently available in close to 100 cities with over 10 million customers and 15 lakh+ registered driver-partners.
