Norton Motorcycles Trademark Obtained For 4 India-Bound Bikes

Norton Motorcycles Fastback Trademark — The firm has stated it wants to enter new segments

TVS-owned Norton Motorcycles has obtained the trademark for 4 bikes that it is expected to launch by a year or two.

The motorcycles or the titles of which the 2-wheeler firm has trademarked include the Atlas, Commando, Fastback and Manx.

Of these, the Atlas is already listed on the firm’s website and the range consists of the Nomad and Ranger scambler-type motorcycles, both of which will be powered by a 650cc parallel twin engine that puts out 84 HP and 64 Nm of torque.

Arguably the most famous Norton would be the Commando. It is a name synonymous with the brand and dates back to the 60s of the previous century.

Looks like the bike is not dead and we might see it get relaunched just the way it was before. However, it might be in very limited numbers, for the brand is looking at phasing out the long-standing model.

We do not know much about the other two motorcycles, namely the Fastback and Manx. However, we can speculate what sort of bikes they will be. Manx relates to the Isle of Man, so it will be a fast road bike and Fastback could be a fully-faired one.

Norton Motorcycles has also confirmed that the 2021 V4SS superbike will get launched overseas before the year-end, while the V4RR will follow suit. Both bikes will have a 1200cc V4 heart pumping out 200 BHP and 130 Nm.

Given that the brand now has TVS to back it up, it wants to enter new segments and branch out. Also, most, if not all, of the above mentioned bikes are set to get launched in the Indian market as well.
