Looks like there is no overthrowing Hyundai’s Creta from the top spot in the November 2020 midsize SUV sales list.
With 12,017 units and a very strong 80 percent year-over-year (YoY) sales growth, the car is way above its competition.
That is, barring its cousin the Kia Seltos, which was chosen by 9205 customers last month. It sits in second place and performed better than it did 2 months ago.
In a distant third came the Mahindra Scorpio (3725 units) followed by the MG Hector (3426) and the Maruti S-Cross (2877).
Tata’s Harrier with 2210 units, was the only other car in the midsize SUV list to cross the 4-digit sales mark, while the rest failed to cross the 900-unit mark to say the least.
When it comes to November 2020 SUV sales, the top 9 models have not moved from the places they occupied in October.
Overall, sales was up by 10 percent as the models cumulatively sold 35,762 units. But the figure was less than that of October 2020.
The Toyota Fortuner leads the premium SUV pack by quite a slim margin, having sold 656 units and Ford’s Endeavour came second with 647 units.
Both these SUVs lost some of their sales to the new entrant, the MG Gloster, which recorded 627 units in November 2020 SUV sales.
While the top three were closely stacked, the 4 other SUVs in the list were nowhere near, with only the Volkswagen Tiguan crossing the 100-unit sales mark. Overall sales stood at just under 2200 units, with a marginal 2 percent YoY growth.
