October 2020 scooter sales threw no surprises at us and it was the Honda Activa that was once again leading the sales in the category.
Honda shifted 2,39,570 units of the Activa, a 15 percent year-over-year (YoY) sales drop, while the TVS Jupiter, which came second in the top 10 scooters list managed 74,159 unit sales.
Third spot in the October 2020 scooter sales list was taken by the Suzuki Access 125 with 52,441 units to its name, while the Honda Dio came fourth with 44,046 unit sales.
TVS sold 31,524 units of its NTorq, which occupies the fifth position in the list, followed by the Hero Destini 125 with 26,714 units.
The Hero Pleasure and Maestro were closely matched, each selling a little over 23,000 units, while the last two spots were taken by Yamahas, namely the Ray and Fascino.
When it comes to YoY degrowth, the top three models in the list were the only ones to see sales drop.
Other scooters did well, while three models stood out and they were the Destini 125 (158 percent), Maestro (97 percent) and Ray (84 percent).
Also, the overall sales increased, with the scooters in the list collectively performing about three percent better than during the same period a year before.
