Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the Repsol Honda Edition models of the Dio and Hornet 2.0 to celebrate its historic 800 grand prix victories in the MotoGP championship.
Prices of the models have also been announced, with the Dio Repsol Honda Edition costing Rs. 69,757/- (ex-showroom, Gurgaon), Rs. 2500/- more than the Dio DLX variant.
While the asking price of the Hornet 2.0 Repsol Honda Edition is Rs. 1,28,351/- (ex-showroom, Gurgaon), which is Rs. 2000/- more than the normal variant.
Both two-wheelers come with vivid graphics and orange wheel rims and will definitely stand out from the crowd. Honda says the design theme is inspired by its racing team’s machines and reckons will appeal to racing fans in the country.
Other than the cosmetic makeover, no other changes have been made to either the scooter or the motorcycle. The BS6 Dio continues to be powered by the 110cc PGM-FI engine that puts out a maximum of 7.7 HP and 9 Nm peak torque.
It gets an LED headlight, has an external fuel lid, side stand indicator with engine cut-off, adjustable rear suspension and several other features.
The Hornet 2.0 comes powered by a 184cc PGM-FI motor that makes 17 HP and 16.1 Nm of max torque.
It has features such as USD front forks, single channel ABS, Digital Negative Liquid Crystal display, all-LED lighting, among others.
Both limited edition models of the scooter and the motorcycle will be made available across all Honda dealerships starting this week.
