Maruti – India’s largest carmaker partners with Microsoft to come up with new driver training technology. The Harnessing Automobile for Safety (HAMS) will offer 100 percent automation of driving test with no manual intervention. Maruti Suzuki has partnered with State Governments to set up Automated Driving Test Centres. These centres are equipped with video analytic technology to check driving skills of the applicants and replace manual assessment of candidates.

Fiat – The Italian carmaker has introduced the updated Fiat Tipo for the European market. The car gets revised styling, new features on offer and a new Cross variant which is inspired by crossover styling. It is available with multiple petrol and diesel engine options in the international market.

Rolls-Royce – The luxury marque has come up with a new bespoke Rolls-Royce Wraith ‘Inspired By Earth’. It is for the Middle East. The car features artwork on the hood which features the UAE as seen from the space including Red Sea, Arabian Sea and the Gulf of Oman. The interior too is colour coordinated with the overall theme and features artwork on the dash.

Traffic Rules – The Traffic Police in Shillong has announced that they will issue challans for improper usage of hazard lights. Many drivers are using hazard lights to go straight in a traffic junction, which is not the right way of using hazards. There is a fine of up to Rs. 300/- for this violation.
