There are five variants on offer in all and they come packed with tech and features.
Audi has launched the Q2 in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 34.99 lakhs for the base variant, while the top-spec trim costs Rs. 48.89 lakhs (both prices, ex-showroom).
The firm calls it a luxury all-rounder that has a bold design with lots of cuts and creases that it says will strike a chord with young Indian customers. Note that it is the pre-facelift model of the Q2 that has been launched here.
At the front, there is a single-frame octagonal grille with large air inlets, LED headlights, DRLs, while at the sides we can see a low roof design with a roof spoiler and a high shoulder line.
Alloy wheels are 17 inches in size while at the back, the tail lights are also LEDs, while the diffuser completes the neat styling.
It is not a particularly large car, the Q2, as it is only 1548 mm tall, 1805 mm wide, 4318 mm long and has a wheelbase of 2593 mm.
Inside, the dash looks simple and there are two screens – 12.3-inch Audi Virtual Cockpit and 8.3-inch MMI display. The Audi Q2 price gets customers sport seats at the front, a flat-bottom steering wheel, LED ambient lighting, 2-zone air-conditioning, latest connectivity options, wireless charging, among others.
Engine-wise, the car gets a 2.0-litre TFSI petrol motor that puts out 190 HP and 320 Nm and is mated to a 7-speed DCT gearbox through which power is sent to all the wheels.
This power output is good enough to propel the Q2 to a top speed of 228 km/hr and do the 0-100 km/hr run in 6.5 seconds. Drivers also get a progressive steering and Audi Drive Select.
Finally, Audi India has rolled-out an introductory ‘Peace of Mind’ package that comes bundled with a 5-year service package with 2+3 years extended warranty and 2+3 years road-side assistance for Q2 customers.
