Triumph Trident Testing Enters Final Phase, Production Nears

Triumph Trident On Road Testing — Latest entrant into the bikemaker’s roadster lineup will be this compact 3-cylinder motorcycle

Triumph has revealed that the upcoming Trident motorcycle’s testing has entered its final phase, hinting that it will start production of its latest triple very soon.

This comes closely after the British bikemaker unveiled the design prototype last month. These testing photographs have been taken near to Triumph’s global headquarters at Hinckley in the UK.

The test livery does well to hide design details, but we can see that the bike now sports proper production-spec hardware like the mirrors, brakes, complete exhaust system, tyre hugger for the license plate and blinkers and LED headlight.

If we have to take one thing from Triumph Trident testing photographs, it is that the upcoming middle-weight bike stays true to the concept, and is a compact motorcycle, which is welcome.

Through the final testing stages Triumph says it has been fine-tuning the bike so that it has an agile and rider-friendly chassis and ergonomics. The bike is also claimed to come with class-leading technology as standard.

Although we know that the Trident will be powered by a 3-cylinder engine, we do not know about its specifications. Rumours are that Triumph’s 675cc triple will make a comeback, but we do not know anything about power figures.

As announced during the prototype reveal, the Trident will hit showrooms in Spring next year and the manufacturer promises that it will be competitively priced. The middle-weight motorcycle is expected to be launched in India after the global launch event takes place.
