Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro Launched, Priced From Rs. 11.95 Lakhs

Following the V2, Ducati has launched the new Scrambler 1100 Pro twins in India and the price starts at Rs. 11.95 lakhs while the Pro Sport costs Rs. 13.74 lakhs (all prices, ex-showroom).

Ducati introduced the Scrambler lineup only fives years ago, yet we’ve seen numerous iterations of it. One of the most famous ones is the top-of-the-line Scrambler 1100 and for 2020, Ducati has introduced the Pros.

There’s not much new with the Scrambler 1100 Pro twins, though, but that’s because there wasn’t much wrong with the 1100 in the first place.

Physically, the Pros feature a new headlight pod with an integrated black metal X. The ‘X’ represents the black tape used to protect the headlights back in the 70s. This also adds to the already retro-appeal of the Scrambler 1100.

The new headlight also includes new circular LED DRLs which look distinct. Additionally, the Scrambler Pro twins also get new high-set dual-tailpipes and a revised lower number plate holder.

Feature-wise, both motorcycles get a digital speedometer with electronics like Ducati Traction Control, three riding modes (Active, Journey, City), and Bosch’s cornering ABS. Brembo M4 callipers upfront are also standard on both bikes.

Both the Scrambler 1100 Pro and the Pro Sport also feature a 1079cc, L-Twin, BS6 compliant engine which churns out 86 HP of power at 7500 RPM and 88 Nm of torque at 4750 RPM.

Moving to the distinct bits, the Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport hosts a matte black finish as compared to the silver with yellow highlights on the Pro. This makes the two variants pretty easy to differentiate.

Further, the Ducati Scrambler 1100 Pro Sport also gets low-set handlebars, sporty bar-end mirrors and a brown leather seat as well. However, the biggest difference is that the Pro Sport gets top-spec Ohlins suspension at both ends whereas the Pro uses Marzochhi forks upfront and a Kayaba mono-shock at the rear.

Lastly, the Scrambler 1100 Pro twins rival the BMW R Nine T, Triumph Speed Twin, Indian FTR 1200, etc. We think the new Scrambler twins will sell in good numbers at this price, adding to the success of the Scrambler lineup.
