Jeep India Takes A Dig At Mahindra Thar In Official Video
The American automaker has broken silence on the styling of the 2021 Mahindra Thar ahead of the latter's launch.
The latest video released by Jeep titled “The Originals” mocks Mahindra in a barely concealed fashion, just two weeks ahead of the launch of the 2021 Thar.
Although those who have clapped eyes on the new generation Thar, ever since it was unveiled, have stated how it imitates the Jeep Wrangler, the American automaker, on the other hand, was mysteriously silent for a while.
However, it seems that the reason Jeep was silent is because it was readying a video to state how originality stays planted in this world and how imitators are not remembered.
Showcased in the short 69-second video are the following – the Statue of Liberty, Pyramids of Giza, The Starry Night painting by Van Gogh, The Creation of Adam, a fresco by Michelangelo, a brief film of Orville Wright with Major Albert B. Lambert, both seated in the Wright Flyer in 1910, followed by the Wright brothers lifting off in their aircraft, the Dandi march sculpture by Devi Prasad Roy Choudhary, Michelangelo’s David, Colosseum in Rome, Mona Lisa by Leonardo da Vinci, the Eiffel Tower and finally, the Taj Mahal.
Most people know that all of the above mentioned arts, landmarks, brilliant construction feats, have stood the test of time. This is what Jeep wants to covey through the video and obviously, the audio statements made in it make it very clear.
Then there is the Indian connection, as can be ascertained by the father of the nation’s statue and the Taj Mahal, before the clip cuts to one of early Jeep models, stating that the firm has been here from 1941, and also analogizing that its products are amongst greatest creations and are revolutionary per se.
This is a clever attempt to take some steam off of Mahindra’s 2021 Thar launch and it is expected that such jabs will continue as Jeep mocks Mahindra for imitating its product.
Official launch of the 2021 Mahindra Thar will take place on 2nd October and the car will come with both petrol and diesel engine options, apart from off-road oriented equipment as standard, while new-age kit will be offered to make the vehicle more usable every day.
