Motrac 900 Magic Dragon — Ducati Diavel styling elements can be seen throughout the cruiser bike

Motrac Magic Dragon 900 is the latest entrant to join the list of various Chinese bikes that take styling cues or distastefully copy the entire design of the Ducati Diavel.

Design-wise, upfront there is a round headlight with a “differently” styled(!) housing, that raises from the triple clamp, for the handlebar and the digital instrument console.

While this is unique to the Motrac Magic Dragon 900, the rest is not. For example, the fuel tank, air intakes, radiator cowl with indicators, belly pan, all look very similar to the Diavel.

Things like the angle of the intakes that match the fork angles and their near-rectangular shape are exactly as the parts would be on the Ducati.

Further, the seat and the single-sided twin exhausts are eerily like the ones on the Italian bike. There are differences too. For example, the Motrac Magic Dragon 900 uses a double-sided swingarm and twin rear shock absorbers.

Engine-wise, the cruiser bike will feature a 900cc, liquid-cooled V-twin that will produce around 65 HP and 75 Nm, which will be good enough to keep it chugging along at highway speeds.

The bike uses USD forks upfront, with twin rear shocks, while braking power will be provided by twin discs at the front and a single disc at the back and there will be ABS as standard.

Riding on chunky tyres, the cruiser gets features such as side-mounted reflectors and the swingarm-mounted licence plate. This is likely because Motrac wants to sell the Magic Dragon outside the Chinese market and wants to meet European rules.
