BMW has relaunched the 320d Sport in India, after a four month hiatus, with a price tag of Rs. 42.10 lakhs (ex-showroom).
This makes it the second most affordable model in the 3-series range, with the 330i Sport being the most affordable at Rs. 41.70 lakhs (ex-showroom). The 320d Sport was discontinued back in March.
Also, this makes the BMW 320d Sport price Rs. 5.40 lakhs cheaper than the 320d Luxury Line variant, the top diesel variant on offer in the 3-series model at the moment in India.
Features offered on the car are similar to that of the 330i Sport and thus, it gets automatic LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, 8.8-inch touchscreen, 3-zone climate control, powered front seats with the driver seat getting memory function, rear-view camera, parking sensors (both front and rear), among various others.
The BMW 320d Sport is powered by a 2.0-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that produces 190 HP and 400 Nm and is paired with an 8-speed torque converter auto box. The 0-100 km/hr sprint is dispatched in a claimed 6.8 seconds.
Safety-wise the sedan gets six airbags, traction control, ABS, ESC and tyre pressure monitoring system. It must be noted that, when launched back in 2019, the 320d Sport was priced at Rs. 41.40 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The sedan competes against the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, the Jaguar XE and will also go head-on with the new A4 from Audi when it is launched here, since the old car was discontinued in May this year.
