Kia India Sales Cross 1 Lakh Milestone Within A Year
Having achieved the feat, Kia would want to ride the success wave by launching the Sonet in the coming months.
Kia Motors India sales has crossed the one lakh milestone in only 11 months since its market entry with the Seltos.
Launched in August last year, the Seltos went on to become a sales success and even become the highest selling model in its segment many times. In all, 97,745 units of the Seltos have been sold to Indians so far, contributing strongly to Kia India sales.
It is priced from Rs. 9.89 lakhs (ex-showroom) and gets 16 variants in total, offering something for everybody. There are over 50 UVO connected car features, apart from a whole host of other equipment on board.
Seltos is offered with three engine options – a 1.5-litre diesel, 1.5-litre petrol and 1.4-litre turbo petrol with manual and automatic transmissions to choose from depending upon the variants.
The South Korean manufacturer’s second car to go on sale in India was the Carnival and 3614 units of the MPV have been retailed so far. Priced from Rs. 24.95 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Carnival comes in three variants – Premium, Prestige and Limousine.
The MPV comes in multiple seating configurations, has tonnes of features and is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine that makes 200 PS, 440 Nm of torque and is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
To be able to achieve such success, Kia India says it has ensured best-in-class product quality, a robust network and a seamless customer experience.
Besides, it also adds that deliveries were made on time to customers even amidst the pandemic, a major reason for Kia India sales to reach the one lakh mark.
Introduction of the Kia Care campaign that provides comprehensive safety measures across three levels, has also helped with the aftersales experience, reckons the carmaker.
Now, Kia Motors India is getting ready with its next product, the Sonet, and its world premiere is scheduled to happen on 7th August, followed by the launch during the festive season.
