BS6 Mahindra Mojo bookings have commenced and customers can now book their own entry-level tourer for Rs. 5000/- either online or at the dealership.
Four new colour options – Ruby Red, Black Pearl, Garnet Black, and Red Agate – will be introduced with the BS6 Mahindra Mojo, which, although not flamboyant, are tastefully done.
The Mojo in its BS6 avatar was spotted testing on Indian roads recently and the body panels of the tourer did not sport any changes.
It seems Mahindra Two Wheelers wanted to concentrate only on the mechanical changes that are now inevitable.
Thus, the twin-pod headlamp, chiselled fuel tank, single-piece seat and blacked-out mechanical parts are present and correct. The BS6 Mahindra Mojo is also expected to retain the semi-digital instrument cluster as well.
The bike will come with the same engine that is now more kinder towards the environment. The BS4 Mojo had a 294.72cc, fuel-injected, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produced 26.29 HP and 28 Nm of torque.
Although speculations are that the power figures might stay the same, the Jawa Perak’s engine that can be traced to the Mojo did get a tiny jump in torque recently.
This was possible due to the tuning and thus, we can expect Mahindra to eke out more from the BS6 Mahindra Mojo’s engine.
Expect Mahindra to retail the bike as a single variant and price it competitively at just over Rs. 1.9 lakhs (ex-showroom). To put it into context, the BS4 version of the bike was on sale for Rs. 1.88 lakhs (ex-showroom).
