As we sit and hope to get maxi-scooters here in India, Honda has launched the Forza 350 in Thailand. The launch took place at the 2020 Bangkok International Motor Show. This is the first time the Forza 350 has step foot into Southeast Asian markets.
The Honda Forza 350 serves as the elder sibling to the Honda Forza 300, which might get launched in India by year-end hopefully. Instead of the previous 279cc motor, the 350 gets a 330cc liquid-cooled and fuel-injected single-cylinder motor. It gets a full-LED headlamp just like the Forza 300, though.
While there’s no news on the numbers, the Honda Forza 350 will definitely be more powerful than the Forza 300. For reference, the 300 makes about 25 PS and 27 Nm of torque. Like the 300, traction control comes standard on the 350 too. The 350 also gets a CVT transmission with an automatic centrifugal clutch.
Honda revealed some important information in the launch, though. The suspension is telescopic for the front while Honda has equipped the rear with 7-step adjustable twin shock absorbers. Further, the scooter weighs 185 kgs and gets a 120/70/15 front wheel while the rear is a 140/70/14 one. It also gets front and rear disc brakes with NISSIN callipers and a dual-channel ABS.
Honda calls the scooter a ‘luxury’ maxi-scooter, and its feature list does complete justice to the luxury tag. The Honda Forza 350 comes equipped with an electronically adjustable windscreen, large under-seat storage which can accommodate up to two helmets, Honda SMART key, USB charger, and more.
To further enhance the riding experience, the Honda Forza 350 gets a beautiful semi-digital speedometer which resembles that of a luxury car. It gets a Multi-Information-Display between the dials, which shows information like fuel consumption and distance-to-empty function apart from the regular information.
Honda launched the Honda Forza 350 in Thailand in two variants – The standard variant which costs 1,73,500 Thai Baht (Rs. 4.15 lakhs) and the Touring edition (gets a top box as standard) which costs 1,82,900 Thai Baht (Rs. 4.38 lakhs).
The Honda Forza 350s arrival in India seems to be a distant dream right now as Honda isn’t focusing on introducing luxury scooters in the Indian market because of their high price. There is a possibility of the Honda Forza 300 coming to India by year-end though. So it’s safe to say that there’s still hope for us.
