Since last year, speculations about bigger Intruder for India are doing the rounds. Now, Suzuki Intruder 250 leaked patent images reveal more details of the cruiser bike.
After the launch of Suzuki Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250, the Japanese bike maker is now preparing to introduce the larger capacity Intruder. The company announced their plans last year for using the 249cc engine on more platforms as well.
While the Intruder 250 looks the same as 150 in the patent images, there is a new styling element. The exhaust system now looks more simple and straight compared to 150’s beefy unit.
The exhaust system has a single header pipe with a catalytic converter to comply with the emission norms. The dual barrel setup remains similar.
It will be powered by the same 249cc, single-cylinder, fuel injected, oil cooled BS6 engine. It produces 26.5 PS of power at 9300 RPM and 22.2 Nm of torque at 7300 RPM. Suzuki might tune the engine differently for the Intruder.
We can expect more features too with the new Intruder 250 along with some mild visual changes. Launch timeline isn’t confirmed but we can expect it by the end of the year or early 2021.
