Ninja 1000SX BS6 now available in India after 2019 EICMA debut.
The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 1000SX was revealed at the 2019 EICMA show. It was expected to come to India by mid-2020 and here it is. The bike is priced at Rs. 10.79 lakhs (ex-showroom).
The Japanese bike maker has increased the price substantially by Rs. 50,000/- over its predecessor. There are some significant changes too along with new features.
This is one of those new gen updates which gets relatively mild changes. The front profile looks similar but gets restyled fairing, LED headlights and LED tail light. The windscreen is more upright for long touring.
There is a new single canister exhaust system. The previous model had a quad exhaust. This setup will save a lot of weight. The pillion seat has also been revised for better comfort.
There is a new 4.3-inch full-colour TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity. The ride can also control and check data of the bike via ‘Rideology The App’.
Some of the other features include two power modes, 3 level traction control system, electronic cruise control, ABS, cornering ABS, quickshifter etc. It comes with Sport, Rain, Road and Rider riding modes.
Powering the bike is the same 1043cc, inline-4 engine producing 142 HP at 10,000 RPM and 111 Nm at 8000 RPM. This motor is coupled to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist-and-slipper clutch.
