Suzuki Swift facelift leaked in Japan, similar styling to be offered in India.
The Maruti Swift is due for its mid-life update since a long time. The Maruti Dzire facelift has already been launched before the lockdown in the country. The Swift facelift is about to launch soon.
A leaked brochure of the 2020 Suzuki Swift from Japan reveals new details. The hatchback will get minor visual updates just like the Dzire. Similar styling is expected for the Swift in India.
2020 Maruti Swift facelift will come with a new grille design. While the size remains the same, there are new details. It also comes with a dash of chrome in the centre. It will be appreciated in India since we love chrome.
The headlight design remains the same. However, the front and rear bumpers will get some alterations. The international Swift gets new alloys. We can expect Maruti to offer new alloys too in India.
The leaked brochure also reveals a range of new colours for Japan. There are some bright blue, yellow and orange colour shades. These colours also get black contrasting roof options.
In India, the Maruti Swift facelift will be offered with a new engine. It is the updated K12C DualJet 1.2-litre BS6 petrol engine. It will come with 7 PS increased power output. Better fuel efficiency is expected too.
It won’t come with the 12v mild-hybrid system but engine start/stop feature will be offered. We can expect other mild feature updates as well. Launch is likely scheduled later this year around the festive season.
