India-bound BMW 5-Series facelift leaked ahead of official debut.
The much awaited mid-life facelift of the BMW 5-Series G30 has been leaked ahead of official announcement. The 7th gen 5er facelift looks sharper than before with this update.
Thankfully, the kidney grille size remains unchanged but gets new chrome elements offering a premium look. Gone are the headlight DRL rings, instead the facelift comes with new 3-Series inspired headlights that look sleeker. The new set of shiny alloys look nice too.
The front bumper too has sharpened and the overall front fascia does look quite sporty. However, it resembles the 3-Series a lot. At the rear there are no changes except for the new LED work on the tail lights to match the sleek headlights.
The interior has not been revealed yet but we can expect minor styling tweaks with new upholstery and colour changes along with new features.
The engine options are yet to be revealed but BMW will carry forward the same powertrain options with a few updates. If you notice, the model leaked here is a plug-in hybrid one with a charging point on the front fender.
Yes, BMW will introduce the facelifted 5-Series in India soon after its global debut but it doesn’t seem like happening this year due to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis. We expect it to come in Q1 2021.
