Kia Sonet GT Line interior leaked revealing features.
Kia Motors is spinning huge volumes in India soon after their entry into the market. Thanks to the Seltos, they are witnessing 14-15,000 unit sales per month! Even the premium MPV Carnival is doing considerable numbers.
The South Korean carmaker showcased their upcoming compact SUV Kia Sonet in its near production concept at the Auto Expo 2020. This is their upcoming weapon to further increase their market share.
The Kia Sonet production version hasn’t been revealed yet but the interior has recently leaked. The compact SUV comes with a huge 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and there is a similar design inspiration from the Seltos.
This is the GT Line interior of the Sonet that has been spotted which gets black interior theme. The steering is the same as the Seltos, there is a front armrest with storage and a manual handbrake lever.
The compact SUV will get ventilated front seats, wireless charging, connected car tech, 360-degree camera and drive modes. Other features expected from the Sonet includes Bose sound system and 6 airbags.
The mechanicals are shared with the Hyundai Venue including the 1.2-litre Kappa petrol engine, 1.0-litre turbo petrol and 1.5-litre diesel engine options.
The Kia Sonet is expected to be priced similar to the Venue and is likely to be launched during the festive season in India if the ongoing coronavirus pandemic gets under control.
The Sonet will compete with the likes of Hyundai Venue, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV300 and Ford EcoSport.
