News highlights of the day include Isuzu, TVS, Hero MotoCorp and BIC.
Isuzu – Isuzu hasn’t introduce any BS6 compliant product yet. The Japanese carmaker has now announced that they will gradually launch BS6 vehicles in India in the 2nd quarter of 2020-21. Also, existing vehicles with service and warranty validity between March and April 2020 will be extended until end-May 2020 due to the ongoing lockdown.
TVS – The Indian 2-wheeler maker has announced the extension of service and warranty period for vehicles until June 2020 from March and April 2020. TVS has also pledged Rs. 30 crores for COVID-19 relief and will be offering heavy discounts on BS4 stock.
Hero MotoCorp – The Supreme Court has announced that dealers will be allowed to sell 10 percent of their BS4 stock after 10 days post the lockdown gets over. The Indian bike maker has promised the dealers not to worry about the inventory as the company will take back all the unsold stock and export it.
Buddh International Circuit – The race track will now serve the migrants as quarantine facility during the ongoing lockdown. The Uttar Pradesh government has selected the Jaypee Group properties to help the migrants who are in trouble and are on the way to their hometowns coming from Delhi NCR.
