Mahindra has updated the Bolero with new styling and BS6 engine.
After multiple spy shots and speculations, the 2020 Mahindra Bolero is finally here. The Indian carmaker has given it an update to comply with the new emission and safety norms. It is priced from Rs. 7.98 lakhs (ex-showroom).
In terms of styling, the Bolero gets a few tweaks, mostly in the front profile. There are new headlights with revised detailing. The grille is new and restyled. It now has a metal bumper which gets a new design and the Bolero now complies with the pedestrian safety norms.
Rest of the car remains more or less the same apart from the new body graphics and revised tail lamps which now get new detailing and clear lens look. The new Bolero is available in silver, brown and white colour options.
The interior also gets some changes in terms of new colour theme and new steering wheel borrowed from the TUV300. It has a 7-seater layout. The new Bolero is available in three trim levels – B4,B6 and B6 OPT.
Some of the features include audio system with USB, AUX and Bluetooth connectivity, digital instrument cluster, driver information system, power steering, power windows, central locking, rear wiper and washer, etc.
The safety features include ABS, driver-side airbag and reverse parking sensor as standard across all the variants.
Powering the new Bolero is a BS6 compliant 1.5-litre, 3-cylinder diesel engine producing 75 HP at 3600 RPM and 210 Nm of torque at 1600-2200 RPM, mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. This engine comes with a micro hybrid start/stop technology.
While the price has been announced, the deliveries are on hold since the country is in a 21 day lockdown.
