Royal Enfield has pulled the plug on the Bullet Trials 350 & 500
The Royal Enfield Bullet Trials was launched in India on 26th March, 2019 with a price tag of Rs. 1.62 lakhs for the Trials 350 and Rs. 2.07 lakhs for the Trials 500. Within a year of launch, the bike has been discontinued.
While all the 500cc bikes from Royal Enfield were already on their way out as RE decided not to update the engine to BS6, the bike maker has discontinued the 350cc version of the motorcycle as well.
One of the main reasons behind the discontinuation is poor sales and low demand. Based on the regular Bullet motorcycles, the Trials version had a rugged styling with flashy paint job, which failed to attract buyers.
The 346cc and 499cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engines in the Bullet Trials were good for 19.8 PS with 28 Nm torque and 27.1 PS with 41 Nm torque respectively.
The Royal Enfield Bullet Trials Works Replica is an inspiration from Johhny Brittain’s trials motorcycle that won more than 50 championships between 1948 and 1965.
