The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has been launched in India at Rs. 68.94 lakhs, available in the 5-door version.
The 2020 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon has been launched in India at a price of Rs. 68.94 lakhs (ex-showroom). The SUV is brought down via the CBU route and the 5-door version has been launched here. Just like other models in the Wrangler portfolio, the Rubicon is also Trail Rated. It means that the vehicle can perform under extreme off-road conditions. The Jeep Compass TrailHawk is also Trail Rated.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon comes with LED headlights, LED DRLs, LED front foglamps and LED tail lights. The SUV gets a removable roof, removable doors and a fold-down windshield. The Rubicon gets 225/75/17 Mud Terrain tyres and the vehicle is offered in the following colour options – Firecracker Red, Billet Silver, Black, Bright White, and Granite Crystal.
In terms of features, the vehicle is equipped with ambient lighting, cruise control, weather-proof push button start, 7-inch MID, dual-zone AC, a fourth gen UConnect infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, navigation, etc. You also get nine speakers, an overhead sound bar, all-weather subwoofer and a 552-watt amplifier.
Powering the Jeep Rubicon is a 2.0-litre, 4-cyl, turbo petrol engine producing 286 HP and 400 Nm. The engine is matched to an 8-speed AT and the Rubicon also gets engine start-stop function, electric power assist, engine fuel shut-off and a smart transmission shift management system.
The Jeep Wrangler Rubicon gets Jeep’s RockTrac 4×4 AWD with a 2-speed transfer case with a 4:1 4LO low-range gear ratio, full-time torque management and Dana 44 front and rear axles. The front and rear axle ratio is 4.10 and you also get TruLock electric front and rear axle lockers or differentials. The Rubicon has a ground clearance of 217 mm.
Safety features include dual front airbags, supplementary seat-mounted passenger side airbags, ESC, Trailer Sway Control, ABS, Hill Start Assist, Hill Descent Control, Electronic Roll Mitigation and TPMS.
