Mahindra has been extensively testing the 5-seater Xylo, which will be launched this June. The compact SUV is based on the U-platform (the same one as the Genio). The company agrees the delay on their part but they are very keen on sharing platforms across models to reduce development costs. These pictures of the sub 4-meter Xylo were posted on Mahindra Xylo’s fan page on facebook. To be powered by a 3-cylinder, 1.5-liter diesel motor, the Xylo mini will be priced around Rs. 5 lakhs and be the cheapest MPV on sale in India, rivaling the Premier Rio.
