Tata Nexon EV Price Starts At Rs. 13.99 Lakhs

Tata Nexon EV launched in three variants and three colour options.

Tata has finally launched the much awaited Nexon EV, which is priced from Rs. 13.99 lakhs (ex-showroom). It is the first EV from the Indian carmaker targeted at the private buyers.

The styling is based on the Nexon facelift with a sharp front profile, new alloys and new details at the rear. The interior also gets a new steering wheel, new upholstery and Altroz inspired semi-digital instrument cluster.

The Nexon EV is available in three colours – blue, white and silver. They offer ZConnect app that comes with 35 connected features including some handy remote control features.

Some of the other features include electric sunroof, auto headlamps, rain sensing wipers, hill ascent assist, hill descent assist, Harman 7-inch infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

It comes with a 3-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor along with a 30.2 kWh battery. It produced 129 PS of peak power with 245 Nm of peak torque. 0-100 km/hr comes up in 9.9 seconds while 0-60 km/hr comes up in 4.6 seconds.

The Indian carmaker claims a driving range of 312 km on full charge while the real world range is around 270 km.

Tata Motors will provide free home charging device with the car and free installation service. They are setting up 300 fast charging network by March 2020 and are targeting 650 fast charging stations by March 2021. There will be preferential rates for Nexon EV owners.

There are 60 dealer outlets across 22 cities in India for the Nexon EV. They are providing 8 years/1.60 lakh km warranty for the battery and motor. 3 years/1.25 lakh km warrant is being provided for the vehicle while 5 year extended vehicle warrant is also offered.

If a customer gets stuck with dead battery, Tata Motors is offering on-demand charging, which is currently available in 5 cities – Bangalore, Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Hyderabad.
