Skoda Karoq spied in India ahead of its launch in mid-April.
Skoda is about to launch a range of new products in the Indian market with their focus on SUVs. The Czech carmaker will display the upcoming SUVs at the Auto Expo 2020. One of them is the mid-size SUV Karoq.
MotorBeamer Nilay has spotted the Skoda Karoq in India wrapped in camouflage. It will be positioned below the Skoda Kodiaq in their lineup. They will introduce it via the CBU route initially.
The Skoda Karoq will be showcased at the Auto Expo next month and will go on sale by mid-April. Skoda will offer only a petrol engine option with the Karoq initially.
It is a 1.5-litre turbo petrol unit that produces 150 HP and is mated to a 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission. The Karoq will compete with the likes of Hyundai Tucson and Jeep Compass.
The Skoda Karoq is likely to be offered with a price of Rs. 25 lakhs (ex-showroom). The carmaker will consider assembling the SUV depending on the demand of the car in India.
