The Kia Seltos has scored 5 stars at Australasian New Car Assessment Program (ANCAP).
The Kia Seltos has scored an impressive full 5 stars at ANCAP crash tests. The specific model tested here is the South Korean model which is exported to the Australian market and not the model sold in India.
The Seltos is the smallest SUV in the Kia product portfolio in Australia. It was introduced in New Zealand and Australia in October 2019. The 5 star rating is applicable to all the variants of the Seltos.
The model sold in these markets comes with dual front, side chest-protecting and side head-protecting (curtain) airbags as standard. Also autonomous emergency braking, lane keep assist system with lane departure warning and emergency lane keeping is standard on all variants.
The Kia Seltos has scored 85 percent in adult occupant safety, 83 percent in child occupant safety, 61 percent in vulnerable road user protection and 70 percent for safety assist.
The India made Kia Seltos hasn’t been crash tested yet. The India-spec model comes with dual front airbags with ABS and EBD as standard across all variants. We believe it’ll score well at Global NCAP since the parameters are quite different from the ANCAP.
