Kawasaki has pulled the plug on the Ninja 300 in India.
Kawasaki’s highest selling motorcycle in India, the Ninja 300 has been discontinued in the country. The Japanese bike maker is not ready with the BS6 update of the motorcycle yet.
The production of the BS4 compliant Kawasaki Ninja 300 was stopped in October-November 2019. The dealers are currently clearing the stock of the bike. Some of them are offering it on lease.
The BS6 compliant Ninja 300 launch is still a while away since the bike maker hasn’t readied the model yet. Kawasaki is also likely to replace the Ninja 300 with the bigger Ninja 400 in it’s India lineup.
The Kawasaki Ninja 400 will get BS6 compliant engine soon but it retails for Rs. 5 lakhs (ex-showroom), which is around Rs. 2 lakhs more expensive than the Ninja 300.
