Yamaha keen on developing FZ25 based small capacity adventure bike for India.
The latest trend of small capacity adventure motorcycles is getting popular with many brands. To grab a pie of this segment, Yamaha is considering to introduce a new adventure motorcycle for the Indian market.
The Japanese bike maker is considering to develop an adventure motorcycle based on the Yamaha FZ25 platform. The company is considering the segment keenly if the rivals sell in good numbers.
They believe the FZ25 platform is the most suitable one for the adventure motorcycle. The engine of the bike is relevant for the ADV bike since it has a simple construction and good low and mid-range performance.
The platform doesn’t need to be tweaked for the adventure motorcycle which will help Yamaha keep the price in check. Only changes in the bike will include slight revision to the steering head to rework the geometry for longer travel suspension.
Along with Yamaha, Suzuki is also considering to enter this segment and is keenly studying the rivals.
