Jawa has announced the launch of Perak which gets a BS6 compliant engine.
Jawa Motorcycles re-launched in India with two motorcycles Classic and Forty Two. While the flagship Perak was showcased back then, it wasn’t launched in the market. The bike maker has now introduced the Jawa Perak which is being offered with a BS6 compliant engine.
The Jawa Perak has been launched with a price tag of Rs. 1,94,500/- (ex-showroom). Bookings will commence from January 2020 while the deliveries will commence from 2nd April 2020 when the BS6 norms kick in.
Powering the Jawa Perak is a BS6 compliant 334cc liquid cooled engine that produces 30 BHP and 31 Nm of peak torque. This engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike is equipped with dual-channel ABS with standard and it comes with soft activation of ABS for better stability. Some of the highlights include redesigned swingarm, floating seat with integrated tail lamp, bobbed fenders, fatter tyres and stealth paint scheme.
The Jawa Perak has a ground clearance of 145 mm, which is 15 mm lower than the other Jawa models. It is claimed to be the longest wheelbase motorcycle in India under 350cc.
