Diesel For Ladakh – Ladakh region now gets a special grade of diesel which is BS6 compliant and is engineered to withstand extreme cold temperatures in that region. It is developed by Indian Oil. Regular diesel tends to freeze in that region when it’s extremely cold.
RE Bullet 350 – Royal Enfield has hiked the prices of the Bullet 350. The price of the most affordable RE motorcycle has been increased by Rs. 3000/-. It now comes with a starting price of Rs. 1.14 lakhs (ex-showroom).
Hyundai Xcent – With the launch of the new Hyundai Aura compact sedan, the Xcent will continue to be sold for fleet operators. Hyundai will update the Xcent for BS6 emission norms and safety norms.
McLaren Elva – The McLaren Elva is a new road legal open-cockpit roadster from the supercar maker. It is powered by a twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 producing 804 HP and 800 Nm of torque paired to a 7-speed DCT. 0-100 km/hr in less than 3 seconds, 0-200 km/hr takes 6.7 seconds. It is limited to 399 units. Priced at $16,90,000 (Rs. 12 crores).
Hyundai Crossover Concept – Hyundai has teased a new PHEV crossover concept ahead of its debut at the 2019 LA Auto Show. The new crossover from Hyundai will showcase the new design language of the Korean automaker. We can expect new Santa Fe and other SUVs from the carmaker to be based on this design philosophy.
Odd Even Scheme – The odd even scheme is scheduled to close in Delhi by 15th November. However, Delhi Chief Minister has announced that it could extend further as pollution levels rise in the capital.
Motor Trivia – The first car to be locally manufactured in India was the Hindustan Motors Ambassador. It was based on the British car Morris Oxford. The first Ambassador to roll off the production line in Calcutta was in 1957.
