The Mercedes V-Class Elite gets a new diesel engine and updated styling.
Mercedes-Benz India has launched the V-Class Elite MPV in India at Rs. 1.1 crore (ex-showroom). This latest offering slots above the already available two V-Class variants in India making it the flagship model in the V-Class line-up. It is offered in a long-wheelbase (5,140 mm) and 6-seater form only. The Expression and Exclusive variants of this luxury MPV carry a sticker price of Rs. 68.40 lakhs and Rs. 81.90 lakhs (ex-showroom) respectively.
The V-Class Elite features a new diamond-mesh pattern on the grille and 3 new body paint shades. It gets a new bumper and a wider air dam as well. The cabin gets a new tartufo Nappa leather upholstery colour and a gloss black dash finish. It also gets new turbine-style air vents instead of the horizontally slatted ones. In order to up the ante, the second-row gets powered, reclining seats as standard.
The Mercedes V-Class Elite is powered by a BS6-compliant 2.0-litre 4-cylinder OM654 diesel engine that produces 165 PS of power and 380 Nm of torque. It is mated to the company’s 9G-Tronic 9-speed torque convertor automatic. The Elite is available with a two year/30,000 kms Star Ease maintenance package for Rs. 1.09 lakh. Despite the mammoth size, Mercedes claims a 0-100 km/hr sprint in 11 seconds.
