Skoda Octavia Onyx edition has been launched with sporty styling updates on the exterior and interior.
It is that time of the year when it rains limited editions and special editions. Skoda India has just launched the limited edition Octavia Onyx. It is priced at Rs. 19.99 lakhs for the 1.8 TSI petrol version and Rs. 21.99 lakhs for the 2.0 TDI diesel version (all prices, ex-showroom and introductory).
The Skoda Octavia Onyx is available in three colour options – Candy White, Race Blue and Corrida Red. The limited edition is available with only DSG automatic transmission, there is no manual transmission on offer with Onyx.
The Onyx edition comes with new sporty styling elements including chrome surround butterfly grille, carbon black door foils on the side profile, glossy black ORVMs, 16-inch Premia black alloys and glossy black spoiler.
Some of the changes on the inside include Octavia embossed aluminium scuff plates, flat-bottom black steering wheel and black leather upholstery. Most of the changes are aesthetic while the mechanicals and features remain unchanged.
The Onyx edition is available in both petrol and diesel models. The 1.8-litre TSI petrol engine produces 180 PS and 250 Nm, mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. It returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 15.1 km/l. The 1.8 TSI does 0-100 km/hr in 7.7 seconds with a top speed of 233 km/hr.
The 2.0-litre TDI diesel churns out 143 PS and 320 Nm. It is mated to a 6-speed DSG automatic transmission. It does 0-100 km/hr in 9.2 seconds with a top speed of 213 km/hr. The diesel engine returns a claimed fuel efficiency of 19.5 km/l.
