The CFMoto’s 250SR comes to life with a 249cc, DOHC, single-cylinder engine.
CFMoto is new blood in the 2-wheelers industry. As of now, they have 4 models up on their portfolio in India – the 300NK, 650NK, 650MT and the 650GT. Meanwhile, the brand’s new 250SR has been spotted fully out of the wraps in a leaked photo, and it seems to be production-ready.
The CFMoto 250SR’s power unit is likely to be the same 249cc, DOHC, single-cylinder engine which we see in the 250NK. It churns out 26 PS of power and 22 Nm of torque, coupled with a 6-speed gearbox.
The bike uses a tubular steel frame. The suspension uses inverted USD forks at the front and an adjustable mono-shock at the rear. For braking, it has single-discs on both the ends. Additionally, it gets dual-channel ABS as default. While the 250NK has a kerb weight of 151 kgs, the full-faired 250SR may touch the 160 kgs bracket.
Where the CFMoto 250SR really shines at is in the department of looks. Kiska handled the designing job, which is famous for its remarkable work in designing a majority of the KTMs. The bike features a split LED headlight setup with integrated LED DRLs. Furthermore, we also see raised clip-on handlebars, a split seat setup, and an underbelly exhaust system for added swankiness. The colour-TFT instrument panel may also come with Bluetooth connectivity and other assistance features like – calling, auto-texts, navigation, etc.
The Chinese maker is probably going to launch the 250SR at the EICMA in November 2019 in Italy. Subsequently, it can make its way to India in the first quarter of 2020. Because there is some uncertainty between the two – the 250SR and the 300SR, we cannot for sure comment on the price range and the rivals it is going to face.
