Benelli Leoncino 500 Standard variant launched in India.
After the TRK 502 and the 502X motorbikes, Benelli has launched the Leoncino 500 Standard variant in India. The scrambler-style motorcycle is priced at Rs. 4.79 lakhs (ex-showroom). The other variants of the Leoncino 500 are expected to be launched next year.
The Benelli Leoncino 500 is available in two colour options. Buyers can choose between a steel grey or a Leoncino red colour scheme. The Leoncino 500 is powered by a 499.6cc liquid-cooled, fuel-injected, twin-cylinder petrol engine which makes 46.9 HP and 45 Nm of torque, it comes mated to a 6-speed manual transmission. The Standard variant sits on 17-inch wheels at both ends and uses a tubular steel frame. The bike gets 50 mm USD forks at the front, while the rear gets a monoshock. The manufacturer is also offering a 5-year unlimited km warranty on the motorcycle.
Dual-channel ABS is Standard on the Benelli Leoncino 500. The bike gets a 320 mm twin-disc setup (with four-piston callipers) at the front, and a 260 mm disc (with a single-piston calliper) at the rear. It also features a digital dashboard with an analog tachometer and digital speedometer which reads out fuel output, timing, mileage and trip information along with gear position. The Standard variant has a 207 kg kerb weight and a 13.5-litre fuel tank capacity.
The Benelli Leoncino 500 uses neo-retro styling and features a round LED headlamp and an inverted U-shaped LED DRL. The upright seating stance, wide handlebars, and a short single-piece saddle clearly compliments the bike’s scrambler styling. The motorcycle is 2140 mm long, 710 mm wide and 1200 mm tall. The wheelbase is 1460 mm and the ground clearance is 165 mm.
