CFMoto will commence operations with four new products 300 NK, 650 NK, 650 GT and 650 MT.
A recent social media update confirms that CFMoto will be commencing its operation in India by next month. CFMoto confirms the launch of 650 NK and the 300 NK motorcycles in the Indian market in July. In the images revealed by the Chinese company, they have claimed “Austrian Design” next to the 300 NK.
KTM had entered a joint alliance with CFMoto in October 2017 to expand its market presence in the Chinese market. CFMoto holds the majority stake in the joint venture, while KTM gets a 49 percent share.
The company will import the motorcycles in India as CKD units, while the assembly will take place at AMW Motorcycles’ facility in Hyderabad. This will help them maintain competitive price. CFMoto 300 NK will be competing against the likes of Bajaj Dominar 400, KTM Duke 250 and BMW G 310 R. The 650 NK will be going up against the likes of Kawasaki Z650 and Benelli 650i.
The 300 NK is powered by a 292.4cc single-cylinder, 4-valve, liquid cooled, DOHC engine that will deliver 33.5 HP of power at 7200 RPM and 20.5 Nm of peak torque at 8800 RPM.
Powering the 650 NK is a 649.3cc parallel-twin cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC engine which produces 61.68 HP of power at 9000 RPM and 56 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM. The 650 NK shares its engine with 650 MT and the 650 GT.
The company will start with two dealerships. One in Hyderabad and another one in Bengaluru. The bike maker will slowly expand in Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi.
