Land Rover has launched the new 2.0-litre diesel engine powered Discovery in India.
JLR India has launched a new engine with the MY19 Discovery. This 2.0-litre diesel engine on the Land Rover Discovery is available across S, SE, HSE and HSE trim and is priced from Rs. 75.18 lakhs (ex-showroom, India).
The 2.0-litre diesel Ingenium engine fitted on the MY19 Discovery is capable of producing a power output of 240 PS and peak torque of 500 Nm. This engine is the first Jaguar Land Rover powerplant to feature series sequential turbo technology to deliver its additional thrust. Attractive pricing of the high powered Ingenium diesel variant is expected to attract a wider customer base to boost sales.
The 2019 Discovery 2.0-litre diesel is loaded with features like electrically reclining seats, Intelligent Seat Fold, four-zone climate control, power third-row seats, a panoramic sunroof, Cabin Air Ionisation, 360° Surround Camera, adaptive cruise control, protect and remote. The Discovery also has a class leading 34 degree approach angle, a ramp angle of 27.5 degrees and a departure angle of 30 degrees.
The Land Rover Discovery already comes with 3.0-litre petrol and diesel engines. The 3.0-litre petrol engine makes 335 HP and 450 Nm of torque while the 3.0-litre V6 diesel makes 255 HP and 600 Nm of torque. All the engines on the Discovery come mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and 4WD is offered standard.
