Based on the SR 125, the Storm 125 is the most affordable scooter from the brand.
The Aprilia Storm 125 is here and is priced at Rs. 65,000/- (ex-showroom). This scooter is the cheapest offering from the Aprilia brand in India. The Storm 125 is offered in two colour options, matte yellow and matte red. The Aprilia Storm 125 is set to go up against the TVS NTorq and the Honda Grazia.
The Storm 125 misses out on disc brakes and comes with drum brakes at both ends, unlike its elder sibling the SR 125. The scooter is Rs. 6385/- cheaper than the Aprilia SR 125, that is priced at Rs. 71,385/- (ex-showroom). Aprilia has equipped the Storm 125 with wide-terrain 12-inch tyres, with the tyres sourced from Vee Rubber.
The Italian bike maker has come up with a bold outlook for the scooter with a catchy paint scheme and boastful graphics to woo the young audience. The bodywork, lights and analogue instrument cluster are similar to that fitted on the SR 125. The Aprilia Storm 125 was first showcased at the 2018 Auto Expo. It gathered a lot of attention at the biennial event in Greater Noida.
The Storm 125 is powered by a 125cc, 3-valve motor that produces 9.5 BHP at 7250 RPM and 9.8 Nm of torque at 6250 RPM. The 125cc scooter sits on telescopic front forks and a single coil spring at the rear. The scooter comes with CBS as standard that provides proportional brake distribution between the front and rear wheels that accounts for added safety.
